It can also convert media files, transcode and act as a streaming server over unicast or multicast and IPv4 or IPv6. It doesn't need any external codec, program or codec pack to work.

There was a time when video files all conformed to some basic requirements and could be played without protest using any media software. As technologies change and licensing becomes more restrictive and specific, simply playing a video file has now become a challenge and thanks to the plethora of obscure proprietary formats now available, finding a media player that works for the majority has become more hassle than it’s worth. Thankfully the open source community have come up with a solution in the form of VLC, otherwise know as VideoLAN Client.

This cross platform player doesn't strike as particularly good-looking when put side by side with Windows Media Player or Winamp, but you'll appreciate its far superior usability within moments. Its power can be demonstrated with any video files you happen to be downloading, which can be played in whatever form they exist, be it an actual video format or an unclassified temporary one. As you preview a video, it will skip the parts that have yet to be downloaded and let you see the rest – Media Player in comparison, can't preview files in this way.

With the driver generated with Miraplacid Text Driver SDK you can save the extracted information as plain, formatted text or as XML or RSS for future processing in all installed codepages and Unicode. After installation on your PC, driver generated with the SDK appears as a new virtual printer in your system. All the documents you print to this "printer" will be accessible from you software via COM interface. You can browse through the document page to page, get and modify extracted text. Then you can save results to disk or Cl[pboard, upload to FTP or HTTP server, print them to a real printer or send by email. Turn "Auto Save" on if you want the driver to send extracted text to the chosen destinations without waiting for your input. If you want every document to be saved to an individual file, add {{DATE}}, {{TIME}}, {{SYSFOLDER}}, {{IDENTITY}}, {{PAGE}} or {{JOB}} to the file name or path. Sandboxing

Sandboxing helps prevent malware from installing itself on your computer or using what happens in one browser tab to affect what happens in another. The sandbox adds an additional layer of protection to your browser by protecting against malicious web pages that try to leave programs on your computer, monitor your web activities, or steal private information from your hard drive.
